FRONT OF HOUSE MANAGERS

The Theatre on the Downs is a new pop-up theatre space for Bristol, celebrating live performance in the South West run by theatre company, The Wardrobe Ensemble. The Front of House Managers will be essential to the successful running of the venue and we welcome enthusiastic and hard working individuals who are ready to get stuck in.

Job title: Front of House Managers, The Theatre on the Downs at Breaking Bread

Salary: £500 per week.

The Wardrobe Ensemble pay a company fee of £500 per week and FOH Managers will receive the same. 

Contract: 6th August until 2nd October 2021, Tuesday to Sunday (shift work)

Hours: On a rota – between 10am and 11pm. Max 40 hours a week. 

Probation: 1 month

Reporting to: Producer

• Welcoming all audience members to the space and guiding their experience.
• Giving directions, knowledgeable advice, checking tickets and carrying out emergency procedures when required.
• Being familiar with the varying needs of our visitors and those with access or visit requirements, providing reasonable assistance and ensuring their experience is as safe and comfortable as possible.
• Greeting and attending to latecomers, following the performance’s latecomer policy.
• Directing people to their seats within The Theatre on the Downs and monitoring audience behaviour, providing assistance and, where possible, resolving issues.
• Adhering to The Theatre on the Down’s Covid-19 policy.
• Cleaning of the space in between shows.
• Selling merchandise and drinks at The Theatre on the Downs bar.
• Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
